Monarch

Monarch is an upcycling business that designs and creates customized, one-of-a-kind jean jackets. I find used, old, thrifted, or worn-down jean jackets, and I create a design based on a book, movie, or song and carefully paint my design onto the jacket. 

With Monarch, I am trying to reach teen girls who are trying to find their identity and sense of style. It can be hard for teens to find clothing that truly lets them express themselves. I aim to make one-of-a-kind, unique jackets that you can't get with fast fashion. 

By upcycling old clothes, I am helping the environment and the demand for new materials. While I am doing something that helps the environment it is also something that I enjoy. I have been creative since I was a child and getting to share my creativity through clothing that is being reused is exceptional.
